Mr. Manson. An American Nightmare.

“Look down at me and you see a fool, look up at me and you see a god, look straight at me and you see yourself.”

"Mr. Manson, an American Nightmare" is a one man show created as a result of Eduardo del Olmo´s research at Susan Batson Studio in New York City thanks to the Fulbright Grant for the Arts.

The show focuses on the intimate life Manson, epitome of Evil and macabre reverse of the American dream. The piece enters the prison (and mind) of Charlie, and his soul is exposed through a childhood full of pain and abandonment; one without education, economic resources or role models. A youth full of artistic frustration, crime and the promise of redemption through his cult. An adult life drowned in madness and hatred.

The piece addresses issues as class system, patriarchy and crime as a social symptom.
